Does your Front Porch Light Say Welcome?

Most people put a lot of effort and thought into the decorating of the indoor of their home and forget about giving the entrance and front porch a bit of personality.  The entryway is the first impression your home gives to visitors so it is important to spruce it up a bit.

It can be difficult to assess your front door area when standing very close to it so step back to the point when you first see it.  This might inspire you to make a statement with a large dramatic object.  It can be as easy as putting a large planter with an array of color from flowering plants.

You might want to add a little bench with pretty pillows – most people think this looks very inviting.  You can replace the recessed light on the ceiling of your porch with a beautiful outdoor chandelier; this will give your entry way a dramatic effect without cluttering your entrance-way.

Do you like bold color?  Consider painting your door a bright color that will contrast the color of the exterior of your home.  Before you paint the door check with your HOA to make sure you are following HOA guidelines.

Bottom Line – Remember curb appeal is very important if and when you want to sell your home.
